Familiarize yourself with this document thoroughly prior to securing a reservation. When you reserve a yacht charter with SharedPlatformLane, you are recognizing and consenting to these refund conditions.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualified for: Complete reimbursement excluding service charges
Refund Timeline: 5-7 business days
Service Charge: €50 for credit card transactions
Requirements: Request must be made in written form via email or telephone
Between 24 and 72 Hours Before Charter
Qualified for: Half of the total charter fee
Refund Timeline: 7-10 business days
Service Charge: €25 subtracted from the refund
Requirements: Valid justification is required; administrative costs are applicable
Less than 24 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualified for: No reimbursement available
Exception: Situations of urgency may be taken into account
Option: Charter credit might be provided at the discretion of the company
Requirements: Validation necessary for urgent scenarios
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Guarantee Concerning the Weather
We prioritize safety above all. If our certified captain judges that weather conditions are unsuitable for sailing, we provide flexible resolutions:
- Complete Refund: If rescheduling is not feasible, a full refund will be made
- Rescheduling: Transfer your reservation to an alternative date without incurring extra charges
- Charter Credit: Secure a voucher valid for one year from the initial charter date
Assessment of Weather Conditions
Our evaluation of weather comprises:
- Assessment of wind speed and trajectory
- Evaluation of wave magnitude and oceanic conditions
- Forecast of visibility and precipitation amounts
- Monitoring of Coast Guard bulletins and cautions
- Professional captain's appraisal of safety factors
Decision Deadline: Choices regarding weather cancellations are made no later than 4 hours before the scheduled departure.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Medical Urgencies
We are sympathetic to the fact that health crises can happen unexpectedly. The following instances may be eligible for special dispensations:
- An abrupt ailment or injury that necessitates hospital admission
- A passing in the immediate kin
- Urgent military recall or deployment
- Summoned to serve on a jury or a court mandate
- Natural disasters interfering with travel
Essential Documentation
In order to process requests for refunds due to emergency situations, please submit:
- A medical certificate or documents from a hospital
- A certificate of death, if relevant
- Formal military directives
- A jury notification or legal summons
- Emergency announcements or advisories on travel
Refund Processing: Requests for refunds due to emergencies will be handled within 3-5 business days after we receive the necessary documentation.
Operational Cancellations
Mechanical Failures
Should the yacht you are allotted encounter mechanical failures that cannot be promptly resolved:
- Replacement Vessel: We will make efforts to offer a yacht of similar quality
- Full Refund: Granted if there is no suitable replacement
- Partial Refund: If the alternative yacht has a different price rate
- Compensation: Possible additional redress may be given for the inconvenience
Unavailability of Crew
In the uncommon occurrence that a certified crew is not available:
- Efforts will be made to provide a substitute crew
- Complete refund if the charter is unable to proceed
- Option to reschedule at no additional cost
Refund Processing
Method of Payment
Reimbursements will be credited back to the original method of payment used during booking:
- Credit Cards: Expect 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: Expect 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: Expect 3-5 business days

€50 fee for cancellations requested more than 72 hours in advance
Bank Transfer Handling
€25 fee for all bank transfer reimbursements
International Procedures
Extra charges may be applicable for cross-border transactions
Charter Credits
Issuance of Credits
In specific scenarios, charter credits may be presented as a substitute for refunds:
- Late cancellation requests (under 24 hours)
- Cancellations due to adverse weather
- Voluntary changes made by the client
- Disruptions in service
Conditions of Credits
- Valid For: One year from the date of issue
- Non-transferable: Credits cannot be passed to others
- Worth: Equates to the full value of the charter (exempt from processing fees)
- Applicability: Can be utilized for any available yacht charters
- Expiry: No extensions past one year
Partial Service Reimbursements
Interruptions in Service
If your yacht excursion is cut short or interrupted due to factors we can control:
- Refund prorated based on the portion of the service unused
- A credit for a future charter of equivalent value
- Complimentary upgrades or additional services
Disturbances Caused by Guests
If a yacht trip is terminated prematurely due to the actions of guests or breaches in safety:
- No reimbursements for the part of the journey not utilized
- Full payment will still be required
- Potential supplementary charges
Settling Disagreements
Should you not concur with a refund judgment, your options include:
- Asking for an assessment by our management team
- Offering further details or proof
- Looking for solutions via consumer protection bodies
- Legal courses of action in accordance with the law

Step 3: Evaluation and Execution
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within one day, evaluate it in light of this policy, notify you of our decision within two days, and proceed with the approved refunds according to the specified timeframes.
Vital Considerations
- All applications for refunds should be expressed in writing
- Reimbursements will be officiated in € regardless of the original payment currency
- We strongly suggest acquiring travel insurance
- This policy can be updated with a 30 days notice
- Refunds will conform to relevant taxes and legislations
